Important rule change for chasers

Posted by: g4ilo

A clarification has been made to the rules for chasers. Only contacts made using one call (including /M or /P suffixes and UK national prefixes, but not contacts made using a club call or any other call you may be entitled to use) may be logged for points. Anyone who has created more than one account in order to log contacts made under different callsigns should contact G4ILO to request their removal.

A new rule has been added to the Rules for Chasers:

2. Only contacts made using one call (including /M or /P suffixes and UK national prefixes, but not contacts made using a club call or any other call you may be entitled to use) may be logged for points.

Accounts opened and contacts logged under other calls than the one you wish to continue using should be deleted. Please contact G4ILO to request this.

It was not originally envisaged that participants would contact summits multiple times using different calls, therefore the rules were not clear about this. This practise is being disallowed in order to make things fairer for all, by preventing a few keen chasers from dominating the league table results with multiple entries under different calls that contain identical lists of contacts. I hope that participants affected by this ruling will accept it in the spirit it is intended.
